WHO WE ARE

Sawyer County Outdoor Projects and Education (SCOPE) was formed in 2008 with the goal of keeping kids outside and active. After fundraising for various national sporting organizations, eight charter members decided to concentrate their efforts on our local community. Having successfully applied for status as a nonprofit entity, the founding board organized its first fundraising banquet in March 2008.

SCOPE has granted hundreds of thousands of dollars to promote outdoor activities for kids of all ages in various youth organizations from hunter education, boating safety, fishing, trap shooting, baseball, cross country skiing, log rolling and everything in between.

SCOPE has also taken an active role in promoting sound practices to not only utilize, but sustain our forests, lakes and rivers for the enjoyment of generations to come.

100% of the net funds raised by SCOPE benefit the youth of Sawyer County. Administration of all SCOPE business is provided on a volunteer basis. The volunteer board consists of eight members and five trustees who have a vested interest in the health and welfare of Sawyer County youth and the area’s natural resources.

We are extremely grateful for the overwhelming support of our community and the value that they place on our efforts to promote healthy and active lifestyles for all the kids of

Sawyer County.
